When I was on the City Council and Ken Barr was Mayor, five of the council members were represented by Bryan Eppstein. At the same time he was bidding on city contracts. We put out a contract for bid to take the annual city survey. High-bid Bryan won the contract and later came back to bill the city for additional dollars.
Now, no-bid Bryan is reaping the rewards for getting pro-Trinity Uptown candidates elected to the water board. He got two sole-source contracts from the water district amounting to over $1.5 million. And he's complaining about ethics?
Such is politics in Fort Worth. We could also talk about Mayor Moncrief's letter to District 6 voters which contained blatant and verifiable falsehoods. His lapdog, Jordan, was repeating at least one of those lies during the campaign. Eppstein represents Moncrief as well. What a threesome!
